Maybe not so much a nod to the odd, but I'm tired of people fucking up my name (Facebook) highlights a favorite pet peeve of mine. I mean, why is it I can send an e-mail with my signature at the bottom.. spelled out.. and yet get a reply... with my name MISSPELLED... WHAT's up with that ANYway!?! It's just plain RUDE, wouldn't you say!? Maybe Microsoft can come up with a way to smack people upside the head to remind them to review and edit their work... spell check can only go so far, you know!

From Gummies living gregariously to Gummies gone gruesome, the Gummy Bears, Certifiably Weird (Flickr) group certainly lives up to its name. The painstakingly (some may say artfully) placed gummi bears in these photos tell their own tales (or is that tails?) One wonders if Hans Riegel, inventor of the first gummi candy, ever pictured just how sweet his candy really was.

The ability to bullshit is an essential life-skill (Facebook) is dedicated to raising the awareness of those clueless enough to believe everything they are told. Whether it's the Honda sales guy trying to get you to buy those little extras 'you just have to have' or the 5 o'clock news hound giving you the latest stories, you simply cannot escape the 'embellishments', 'exaggerations', and, yes, folks.. the 'BullShit' fed to you on a daily basis.

These Harajuku (Flickr) girls help keep Sally Beauty Supply stores open all on their own – check out the haircolor and makeup! Popularized by the Harajuku Girls who danced backup to Gwen Stefani during her solo stint they took flak for stereotyping Asian women but if you ask me, they emphasize the beauty of Asian women. However, I can only imagine how clogged their pores must get under all that makeup!! Mary Kay herself is put to shame at the talent these women have at enhancing their assets.
